Music
I’ve been playing music since… a very young age, but always oscillated between playing daily, only playing in my own bedroom (and never for babes), and sometimes playing on stage. In college, I finally started recording and performing some tunes, and also picked up a few new instruments, so I have a few small things to show for it.
I guess the biggest is the first EP from my band, French Letter, in the basement of William and Mary’s Swem Library
French Letter is, in my opinion, sort of a quirky indie rock band, trying to play music that’s interesting in the way that music can be interesting before it is overthought.
There is a bunch more. I play the banjo, and prefer the clawhammer style, which is quite different than any guitar style and leads to a sort of music that I think has a special honesty to it. I haven’t written much on the instrument yet, but one song I recorded (while recording the above EP).
And finally, I’ve recorded one ‘electronic’ tune, and arranged a video out of public-domain educational films.
